Our battery circuit breaker, the DD-frame, is a CBE product. CBE stands for “Circuit Breaker for Equipment”, which is intended for mounting in a front cover or similar. If you would like to install this type of circuit breaker in a traditional DIN rail system we have developed an adapter for this.
The reason to mount a DD-frame in a DIN rail system can be for instance; You need a higher rated current than what’s available with traditional MCBs? DD-frame can operate up to 400A in DC configuration. Maybe you wish to in an easy way remotely control a load? The DD-frame can be supplied with the compact and efficient motorized module RAU – Remote Actuation Unit.

The circuit breaker is fixed to the adapter with the front screws of the circuit breaker and then the adapter is snapped on to the DIN rail. If you wish to secure the adapter even further to the DIN rail a screw can be used for fixation. The recommended usage is one holder for a single pole breaker and two holders for 2-5 pole breakers. In the cases where you have a distribution with traditional MCBs and would like to install a DD-frame with this solution we have ready made solutions for feeding the breaker for the existing busbar system.
