  • RAU Remote Controlled MCB 0,5-300A for AC and DC applications

The CBI DD-frame is a very compact and reliable Hydraulic-Magnetic circuit breaker ideal for battery applications, power supplies and distribution of larger loads in branch protection circuits. For applications including energy storage, battery management and telecom UPS systems, it is an advantage to be able to fully control the status of the MCB; - Remotely switching to OFF and ON, as well as being able to remotely reset the MCB after an electrical fault. A CBI DD-frame can be fitted in remote areas as well as in places where it’s not necessarily easy to access the circuit breaker in the equipment but still have full control in terms of operating the MCB. Using the CBI RAU together with a CBI DD-frame in your application enables you to take your equipment to the next level in terms of remote accessibility, as well as giving the possibility to dramatically reduce maintenance cost and system down time if a non-fatal fault tripping occurs. The RAU enable easy remote control of a complete system and is a way to save cost as well as space. Traditional solutions to remotely enable on/off of a system is contactors and MOSFET solutions. These solutions are costly, require space and also create energy losses. Another benefit for the RAU solution is that you get possibility to also control the circuit breaker itself and by that get the possibility to reset the breaker after an overload or similar noncritical fault. It’s easy to imagine the benefits with this if the fault occurs at a remote location which might take hours or even days to reach. The RAU can also in a simple way maximize the usage of the battery capacity in for instance a telecom site. At a mains failure you can easily prioritize the loads and by that get best possible uptime for the most critical loads. When power is back you can then remotely switch back load by load.
